Nikon Releases AF-S Nikkor 24-85mm f/3.5/4.5G ED VR


Together with the new super-zoom Nikkor 18-300mm that was announced 2 weeks ago, Nikon also launched AF-S Nikkor 24-85mm f/3.5/4.5G ED VR in the market.

This piece of glass is the new FX-format zoom lens with a focal range of 24-85mm and the Vibration Reduction technology. The VR technology allows photographer with sharper images across zoom range and greatly reduces blur when shooting at the end of the zoom range. Here are the details for this lens.

PRIMARY FEATURES:
  • FX-format compatible, 3.5x standard zoom lens covering frequently used focal-length range from 24 to 85 mm
  • VR (Vibration Reduction) minimizes camera shake by offering the equivalent of a shutter speed approximately four stops faster
  • Nikon Super Integrated Coating offers superb color reproduction
  • Silent Wave Motor (SWM) realizes quiet AF operation
  • Two focus modes are available – M/A (auto focus with manual override) and M (manual focus)
